I'm BAAAAAACK
Hedo everyone, You might have noticed that I haven't been on in like forever, well it was because my compuer melted down, like full blown nuclear reaction...so anyways, I now have my desktop fixed, after spending $575 on various parts, I just have to install EVERYTHING lol
I bought...
Intel DG43NT Motherboard
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.9 Ghz Processor
4 GB DDR2 RAM
BFG GeForce 9800 GT with 1GB RAM
Thermaltake Purepower 500watt Power Supply
1TB SATA Hardrive
My dad helped me take apart, and assemble the new components in my old tower case, and he helped me install Windows XP Pro x64 as well as all the drivers and such... I was able to recover my data from 2 of the 3 hard drives I had in my old tower, the 3rd is being stupid and he's working on getting the data from that one, I will also have to get my data off of my gaming laptop that melted down.
Okay it didnt actually "melt down" lol but it's not working... and I would cost more than the $575 I spent on new parts to even figure out whats wrong. All in all I got a good deal on all the parts from CompUSA, whereas a new fully built tower that I could use to game minimum would cost $775.
Part of the reason it took so long to get back on was I shopped around looking for the best parts for the best price, then the motherboard had to ship from CA, so that was 2 weeks, the rest being trying to get my laptop fixed...
So anyways... I'm BAAAAAK!!!
